Day of Fun!

Advance Guyana’s Day of Fun is a community-focused day that involves games like egg and spoon races and activities like cotton candy making. This day provided children of the Onderneeming, Essequibo community with not only fun-filled experiences but also fostered important life skills, social interaction, and a sense of belonging. The benefits of Day of Fun extend beyond just a day of play, leaving long-lasting positive effects on the physical, emotional, and social development of children in the small community.

This event encouraged children to engage with their peers on a more personal level. Day of Fun forms new friendships and strengthens existing ones! One of the highlights of the day is a cotton candy booth that allows the children to experience the thrill of making their own sugary treats.

Whether it’s learning to balance an egg on a spoon or spinning cotton candy, community-focused days provide opportunities for children to acquire new skills that they can cherish and utilize throughout their lives.
